Arbour Day has come around once again. Arbour Day is not like any other holiday. Most special holidays reposes on the past, but Arbour Day rather proposes for the future.
At PICLC we have spent the day doing everything in comemoration of this special day. It is a day where we celebrate trees. We celebrate by planting, taking care of and educating each other about the importance of trees.
当春天带着温暖、沿着冬天离开的脚步，在阳光明媚中，款款向我们走来时，她带给了人间莺歌袅绕，繁华似锦。在这欣欣向荣，生机勃勃的春日里，我们又迎来了一年一度的植树节。
植树节不同于其他节日。大多数特殊的节日都寄托在过去，但植树节更倾向于把希望寄托在未来。我们用这一天播种希望，我们通过种植、照顾和祝福，一起种下美好希望。
Learning is the raising of character by the broadening of vision and the deepening of feeling.
Mayer Sulzberger曾经这样说过这样一句话：学习是通过开阔眼界、加深感情而提高品格的过程。
At PICLC, we did just that. Our teachers spent sometime in our classrooms educating our students about the day and the importance of everything surrounding it. Each class then did an activity led by the class teachers in celebration of this day.
为了让孩子了解树与人类的关系，培养从小爱护植物，热爱大自然的情感，亲身体验劳动的乐趣，感受美化环境的意识，PICLC幼儿园开展了一系列植树节主题活动。

We know that we plant trees not for ourselves but also for the future generations, and that is why we did not mind getting our hands dirty and planting our own special plants.
Now that our teachers have taught us all we need to know about trees and plants, and what they need in order to grow, we cannot wait to take care of our own plants and watch them grow grow grow.
