Hidden in every corner of the PICLC is a small “Reading Planet Station”.
这些充满童趣和创意的阅读区,不仅让孩子们随时随地都能沉浸在绘本的奇幻世界中,还为他们提供了一个交流和分享的平台。
These child-friendly and creative reading areas not only allow children to immerse themselves in the fantastical world of picture books anytime, anywhere, but also provide them with a platform for communication and sharing.
孩子们可以在这里找到自己喜欢的绘本,与小伙伴们一起探索、讨论,感受阅读的乐趣。
Children can find their favorite books, explore and discuss them with their buddies, and feel the fun of reading.
晨读
Morning Reading
每天清晨,我们的老师就会带着精心挑选的英文绘本,为孩子们开启一场晨读的仪式。
Every morning, our teachers bring carefully selected English picture books to start a morning reading ritual for the children.
孩子们围坐在一起,聚精会神地聆听每一个故事,用心感受每一个情节。
The children sat in a circle, listening intently to each story and feeling each episode with their hearts.
这样的晨读不仅让孩子们在轻松愉快的氛围中学习语言、扩展视野,更让他们学会了尊重与倾听,培养了良好的社交习惯。
Such morning reading not only allows children to learn the language and expand their horizons in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, but also teaches them respect and listening, and develops good social habits.
睡前阅读
Bedtime Reading
当午睡的时候,孩子们躺在小床上自己看书,或是静静地聆听老师为他们讲述的睡前故事。
When nap time comes, the children lie on their cots and read books by themselves or quietly listen to the bedtime stories their teachers tell them.

在阅读月里,我们还特别设置了小组阅读的环节。

在揭开神秘面纱前,孩子们带着满满的好奇听着故事。

作为IB家园社区建设的一部分,通过神秘读者的活动,我们让家长们参与到孩子们的阅读中来,共同为孩子们营造一个温馨、有趣的阅读环境。
As part of IB Home’s community, through the Mystery Reader program, we involve parents in their children’s reading and work together to create a welcoming and fun reading environment for their children.

Reading Persistence and Record Keeping
为了让孩子们在阅读中养成坚持与自律的好习惯,我们特别推出了“阅读打卡”活动。
In order to help children develop good habits of perseverance and self-discipline in reading, we have launched a special “reading daily attendance” program.
孩子们在家长的陪伴下,每天阅读并记录下自己的阅读内容和感受。
The children, accompanied by their parents, read and record what they read and how they feel each day.
这些打卡记录不仅见证了孩子们在阅读中的成长与变化,更成为了他们宝贵的回忆和纪念。
These punch card records not only witnessed the children’s growth and changes in reading, but also became their valuable memories and remembrances.
